June NFSTI Viewers

June 14, 2010 in Highlights, REO News by Dan Waterman

Anyone who has owned and operated a website and/or blog knows that building the site itself is the “easy” part.  After you spend the thousands of dollars, do your best to communicate your vision, and launch the site (knowing full well that there will be glitches) you’re still not done.  If you really want to be assured of success your business plan must move as follows:

Conceptualization >> Framework >> Design >> Deployment >> Measurement

As you can see, NFSTI is past the Deployment phase and now has entered the Measurement phase.  Members of NFSTI will begin to see some of the statistical measurements that are in place to track the progress of the NFSTI membership and resources.

As of June 14th, 2010 www.NFSTI.com has experienced 861 unique visitors to its website in the USA.  There have been additional visitors outside of the USA, and this measurement dates back to June 1, 2010 – the date this site began its measurement.

Enjoy these numbers, more will follow.

About NFSTI

June 2, 2010 in About NFSTI, REO News by Dan Waterman

Grassroots Organization

NFSTI is a grassroots default servicing network and REO resource center for the real estate community.  Our content, instructors, and training all comes from real-life collaborative research in the default servicing market (REO, short sale, asset management, lending, title, law, etc).

NFSTI prides itself on its quality content and deliver methods designed to match multiple learning styles.  NFSTI is a member of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and would like to recommend that all persons interested in developing their trade in default servicing visit ASTD to gain a full understanding of how information is effectively delivered, processed, and executed.

From the Founder:  Dan Waterman

Hi, welcome to NFSTI.  This website is my brainchild which started hatching in my mind somewhere between 2005 and 2006.  At the time I was actively engaged full-time in the REO business as a licensed real estate broker in the state of Colorado.  I had amazing mentors who showed me various aspects of the business, yet at the end of the day I realized that this industry was lacking some basic training tools, networking environments, and resources for business growth.   I noticed a huge gap between the asset management staff and the REO specialists, and I also noticed a very large gap between agents with REO experience and those who had none.  That’s when I decided to try developing some training and networking platforms.

Through the next couple of years I saw rapid growth in the REO training and networking business, but I was hardly prepared.  Over several more years of trial-and-error, research, seeking counsel, and several other forms of evolution I finally reached the platform we have now and am enjoying every bit of it.  I have the help of several industry leaders who like to remain in the shadows and am consistently receiving great feedback and advice from great industry leaders who believe in the NFSTI project.

I look forward to meeting as many of the NFSTI members as I can.  I tend to go to 2 or 3 REO conventions per year and am always trying to round everyone up for a get-together.  I hope to see you soon.

NFSTI Certified REO Specialist Gold Feather What we Do

NFSTI, or the National Foreclosure and Sales Training Institute, educates real estate professionals in the REO industry.  NFSTI instructs agents on the topics necessary to navigate the REO or default servicing industry on behalf of the banks and servicers around the nation.  Agents are required to complete an educational series and successfully pass a certification exam prior to promoting the Golden NFSTI logo.  This logo indicates that an agent has taken the necessary time to review, understand, and establish their expertise in the field of Real Estate Owned by lenders.

NFSTI is acknowledged in the real estate industry as a trusted source of education and training for REO.
