Thanks to everyone who participated in the March 2011 Short Survey.  This survey offered great insight into some changes that we should make, such as putting the latest news back on the home page, and some things that we are going to be releasing, such as video promotion.

Please take a look at this sample which represents our membership’s opinions.

What do you think would improve business for real estate agents?
  • better marketing.
  • Integration of web presence (social media, website…)
  • More buyers A better economy and willing lenders.
  • government NON-interventionHonesty client and potential clients, as well as, lenders, government officials can see right through the hype. If we had more honesty in the business, we would be looked at as being greater good.
  • Some things we can try on our sites are video, lending info, programs that pertain to the business.
  • We need to teach our potential clients the process and what to expect up front instead of along the way.
  • Online presence with a broad range of outlets including social media, and main stream outlets.
  • Online Presence.  Simplicity for the agent to use.
  • Online presence and social media is quickly becoming the most important ways of promoting business.
  • Target Marketing.
  • Online Presence.
  • I believe that a huge online presence with qualified and valid material is key for a successful business.  We have to educate buyers with neighborhood information as well as the state of the LOCAL market.  The national and even state new is regularly inaccurate for my market area.  Social media is great exposure or for people to find me., but I do not use that as my primary source or even strong source for marketing.
  • I think business for real estate agents would be improved if more agents became more professional.  Unfortunately, we can only lead that horse to water… Unprofessional agents give all agents a bad name – including with other agents.  For example, REO agents who are “too busy” to return calls, emails or even acknowledge offers.  If there were a way to contact the asset managers and/or lenders who rely on just a few agents and let them know exactly what the problems are with some of those agents, maybe some of those calls, etc, would be returned.
  • Less online sites.
  • online presence, better marketing and lead generation
  • Government intervention.
  • I believe that the industry’s online presence is becoming increasingly popular. We need to utilize ways in which to capture buyer information so that we can better serve their needs as real estate professionals. Social Media is the way of the future. We have dedicated resources towards enhancing our social media mediums, and we feel as though this will greatly help our business moving forward.
  • social media, better marketing

There are many more comments about improving business for real estate agents, but this represents a large portion of those answers.  All answers are available upon request.
